Biography

Born in Dubai, DJ Trina grew up within a melting pot where many cultures intertwined. As a child of the ’90s, she grew up surrounded by music, mainly thanks to her father’s influence. Having an extensive knowledge in music makes her appreciate every musical genre possible. In the likes of experimental, jazz, classical, opera & world music.

Joining her first competition, she competed with DJs all over the UAE at the PALME DJ Competition 2010, although not receiving the top prize this time around, she garnered raving results.

She’s a hot piece of talent as she has played for exclusive VIP events around Dubai, including yacht parties at the marina. She has played at the biggest clubs in Dubai such as Chi@TheLodge, Chameleon Club, Sanctuary, XL Club, Sensation Club & GOLD & Abu Dhabi’s Pearls & Caviar, So-Hi (Aloft) & Warehouse. In 2010, she has worked for DJ Brands such as RANE, Serato & Vestax as the Product Specialist and Brand Ambassador; acquiring the needed knowledge in the DJ & Audio Industry.

She made a name for herself playing Back2Back with UAE’s Urban Legend RONNE JAXX during his “URBAN EDUCATION” Nights in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Her mixing style mainly consists of RnB, Hip Hop & Old School with versatile twangs of Dirty Electro & Tribal House, Retro, Rock & even Arabic Music. Her unique choice in music have great rhythm and gives that sense of nostalgia to her audience.
